Meet Mie

A woman with long, wavy, light brown hair wearing a black shirt smiles at the camera in front of a wooden plank wall.

Mie

Mie is the founder of the company, and her journey to establish this group began back in 2017 with a clear vision: to create a team of passionate guides who not only share their love for Copenhagen with visitors but also form a close-knit community—one that gathers, exchanges stories, and supports each other like a group of friends. For Mie, guiding is more than just a profession; it is a way to connect with people, cultures, and perspectives from all over the world. She finds immense joy in the cultural exchange that takes place on every tour, constantly learning not only about others but also about herself and her own city through these encounters. With every tour, every conversation, and every new discovery, her appreciation for Copenhagen continues to grow, making her all the more eager to share its stories with others.

Beyond guiding, Mie is also the driving force behind the company’s online presence, managing everything from digital communication to the website and booking system. Her dedication ensures that every aspect of the experience, from the first click to the final farewell, reflects the warmth and authenticity that define the company.

In her free time, Mie enjoys long runs through scenic routes and has a particular passion for perfecting the art of sourdough baking—a craft that, much like guiding, requires patience, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for tradition.

Favorite Spot!

While she once considered one of Copenhagen’s bridges to be her favorite spot, the deeper she has immersed herself in the city’s history and culture, the more she has fallen in love with its historic Inner City. However, Mie’s absolute favorite spot in the city is Christiansborg and the adjacent Library Garden—a place of both historical charm and serene beauty. It holds a particularly special place in her heart, as it was also the stunning backdrop for her wedding photos.
