Meet Sandra

Sandra

Sandra has been guiding visitors through the winding streets of Copenhagen for over six years, sharing her passion for history and its hidden secrets, mysteries, and wonders. Her love for the city is palpable, and she delights in revealing the magic and unique ‘hygge’ that define the Danish capital. Wanderlust is woven into her spirit, and meeting travelers from around the world allows Copenhagen to feel new and inspiring every single day. Engaging in conversations about life, culture, and art is something she treasures deeply.

Alongside her work as a guide, Sandra is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Rhetoric, all while nurturing her creative side. A singer for many years, she currently performs with a vocal group specializing in world music, exploring songs from various cultures and languages across the globe. She also collaborates in smaller duo and trio formations, bringing Scandinavian folk music to intimate, private events. Beyond her musical pursuits, Sandra has also discovered a love for weight training, crafting DIY furniture and decorations for her apartment, and cooking delicious evening meals for herself and her roommate. These new hobbies have become a way for her to unwind and express her creativity in everyday life.

Favorite Spot!

One of her favorite spots in Copenhagen at the moment is Reffen Island and its vibrant street food market. Over the years, it has blossomed into a lively hub of culture and community, offering the best of food, drinks, DJs, and summer parties. By day, it’s a place to wander through old naval bases, green spaces, and hidden beaches—a perfect blend of urban charm and natural beauty.

  • What our tour guests say about Sandra:
“My walking tour of Copenhagen to experience Danish Hygge was a truly delightful experience. Our leader, Sandra, was warm, friendly, charming and witty. She was an excellent guide, with lots of local knowledge. She showed us some interesting and historic neighbourhoods, including some well-kept local secrets. We ate Danish comfort food, and gained a genuine sense of what ‘hygge’ means for Danes. I really enjoyed Sandra’s personal anecdotes, because they made me, a tourist, feel like a local for a few minutes.”
